Thanks to Scott Reed, Chick-Fil-A Supporting Drivers’ Ed for Cobb Teens

Ever swing by a East Cobb County, GA Chick-Fil-A?

Well, if you haven’t, it’s only because you don’t live in this area… for THOUSANDS of people visit the Lassiter and Sprayberry locations. And, thanks to the two restaurants that are run by Scott Reed, more and more parents and teens are signing up for driver’s education this summer!

“We’re proud to be in front of Chick-Fil-A customers, because so many of them are parents of teens,” noted Safe America President & CEO Len Pagano. “We’re seeing more and more people sign up for 30-hour driver’s ed training – and this is going to make ALL DRIVERS in Cobb County safer.”

Mary Lou Pagano, who oversees the Safe America driving school, noted that thanks to Dawn Roach (who manages the two Chick-Fil-A community outreach programming), more students are learning they can win an incentive if they take Safe America’s course.

“We’ll be holding a ‘Tireless for Safety’ driving contest in which teens who take our training will learn how to change a flat tire. And, the winner of this contest will get free Chick-Fil-A meals over the next 5 months,” noted Mrs. Pagano. “High school kids LOVE Chick-Fil-A meals… so this is making them eager to learn how to change a tire. That is something our driver’s ed class has offered thousands of students for over 15 years – with many of those teens helping Moms change a flat tire. Imagine how much that has been appreciated by Moms – and how it’s kept teens and their siblings safe!”

Safe America Transportation Vice President Thomas McLauren noted that other sponsors – such as Jim Ellis VW – are also adding help to train teens. Safe America has a new 3-D computer simulator trainer at the Kennesaw Jim Ellis VW dealership on Barrett Parkway… with more and more people expressing interest in having training on the new device. College Park Police Chief Will Williford, in fact, is looking to have 90 College Park Police Officers trained on it – to help reduce police car accidents.

“When you think of what we’re doing in Atlanta’s northern and southern suburbs, it’s very impressive on how it is helping improve driving,” noted Board Chairperson Kim Ryan. “We at WellStar Medical System are proud of what Safe America is doing across our Metro Atlanta region – and we look forward to seeing more communities benefit from our ‘SafeTeen Georgia’ program.”
