Using VET Tran ambulances is a growing strategy in December with Knights of Columbus advising rides in Metro Atlanta.
Thanks to our partnership with a series of veteran organizations – like Colonel’s Cup Foundation, American Legion/Post 201, VetBuds, VFW, Warriors 2 Citizens, American Patriot Village (APV) plus Highland Rivers Behavioral Health, Knights of Columbus and Cobb Collaborative, SafeAmerica is planning a ‘new’ program called VETServe. And, together with the Roswell Rotary, SafeAmerica will use Christkindlmarket to ‘relax and enjoy’ veterans to have a pre-Christmas fun ‘ride.’ SafeAmerica will also invite Rotary members to help drive veterans to the Bulloch Hall park in Roswell… and will also have military men and women get to doctors, mental care and other medical hospitals before Christmas.
“Thanks to Knights of Columbus, we’ve driven dozens of veterans this year,” noted CEO Len Pagano. “And, thanks to Jim Clifford and Dan Carfang, we’ coordinated rides with over 1,000 miles for VET Tran. Now, we’ll do more – and raise money on Giving Tuesday – so we can expand help in 2024 – for veterans who are homeless, also.”
Thanks to Rotary Clubs in Alpharetta, John’s Creek and Roswell, more is now planning to ‘have fun’ and seek donations. Here’s an SNN video report for what will start around Roswell:
