ATL Executives Michael Smith (far left) and John Selden (second to right) join Safe America CEO Len Pagano and Chairman-elect Jeff Turner (far right) in evaluating how to fight human trafficking together.

Atlanta’s hosting of this year’s ‘Super Bowl’ led to a growing community worry of human trafficking; after bringing awareness of human trafficking at the busiest airport in the world Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – Safe America did a post-event evaluation of extending its ‘Safety Zone’ kiosk at ATL later this summer and fall to continue its work of educating travelers.

Over 560,000 people per week saw Safe America’s ‘Safety Zone’ Kiosk at the airport.

Safe America conducted a survey of hundreds of travelers and will be assessing how to deal with a series of national safety risks thanks to Delta Airline travelers and other kiosk visitors.

Safe America Chairman-elect Jeff Turner and President & CEO Len Pagano visited with ATL Executive Director John Selden and his Assistant Director, Michael Smith, about continuing the Foundation’s work which was seen by over 2 million people per month during January and February.

Safe America invited Mr. Selden to speak as well as be honored for the outstanding community work that ATL has done during our upcoming Spring Symposium on April 16 at the Federal Reserve Bank. Besides human trafficking, other Symposium topics will include:

– Improving cyber security by all Internet users
– Advancing school safety, with more training on how to protect students and teachers from active shooters
– Evaluating whether Daylight Savings Time should become the new year-round ‘Standard Time Zone’ and
